Hamilton Academical 1 Dundee 1
Hamilton and Dundee shared the points in a highly-entertaining encounter at New Douglas Park.
The Accies started the better side with Scott Tunbridge and debutant striker Paul McLeod causing problems for the visitors' defence.
McLeod had a claim for a penalty in the second minute, going down on a challenge from Adrian Madaschi, having robbed the Dundee defender who had made a serious blunder. Referee Callum Murray waved away the players, but McLeod caused more trouble when Kelvin Jack was forced to save at his feet after 15 minutes.
Hamilton's Scott Turnbridge also went close early on, meaning that the early signs were good for the home team. However as Dundee came back into the match, Simon Lynch had two decent efforts on goal indicating that the visitors remained dangerous.
When Lynch did score, his goal owed much to the efforts of Steven Robb, who beat two Accies defenders before firing in a perfect cross for his team-mate to tap home.
After the break Hamilton's Brian Carrigan revitalised his side with a fantastic goal. He collected the ball wide on the left and fired a curling right-foot effort past Jack for his first goal of the season.
Carrigan went close again minutes laterand both sides continued to press for a winner, although it would have been slightly unfair on either team to have lost the game.
