Dundee earned a point against the champions with a great display that saw them come back from 2-1 down after leading 1-0 at half-time in an entertaining match.
A good cross from the left by Jonay Hernandez was well punched clear by Magnus Hedman with Steve Lovell just inches away from making contact with five minutes played.
Midway through the first half a slack pass by Alex Cerdeira handed possession to Celtic on the halfway line and a lightening break ended when a great save by Derek Soutar denied Henri Camara.
With 35 minutes played Dundee shocked the visitors when Steve Lovell opened the scoring.
Mark Fotheringham sent a great ball down the right to Lovell who raced into the Celtic box and shot right-footed low past Hedman from a tight angle.
The visitors equalised eight minutes after half-time when a cross from the left by Stephen Pearson was mishit by John Hartson, but the ball eventually broke to Camara who stabbed the ball home from close range.
Celtic then went 2-1 ahead on 62 minutes when some fine play down the left by Aiden McGeady saw him dance past a couple of home defenders before drilling the ball low across goal to Hartson, who had a simple tap-in from two yards.
Dundee then drew level with 14 minutes remaining and again it was Lovell grabbing his second goal of the match when he fought for a seemingly lost cause and won the ball back from the Celtic defence.
Then with still two defenders and the keeper in front of him, he lifted the ball over them all and placed it in the far corner of the net.
With seconds remaining, Hernandez was the Dundee hero when he cleared Camara's effort off the line to ensure a share of the points for the home team.
