Dundee and Livingston played out a dull goalless draw at Dens Park.
There were loud appeals for a penalty from the home team in the tenth minute when Steve Lovell went down in the box as he chased the ball with Marvin Andrews but referee Willie Young adjudged it a fair challenge.
Fabian Caballero fired a 20-yard free kick just wide of the target in the 19th minute.
Three minutes later Dundee's David Mackay pounced on a slack clearance but his shot was straight at goalkeeper Alan Main.
Just before the half-hour mark Cherif Toure-Maman fired a long-range effort high and wide of the target.
Lovell was fouled on the edge of the Livingston box in an incident that ended with Julian Maidana being shown the yellow card but a misunderstanding at the free kick saw a good chance wasted for the home team ten minutes before the break.
A fine save from Julian Speroni denied Eugene Dadi the opening goal when he got his head to Lee Makel's cross on the stroke of half time.
Five minutes after the break Nacho Novo saw his effort saved by Main and moments later he beat Main with a low shot but the offside flag was up.
Makel saw his fierce drive well saved by Speroni in the 56th minute.
Five minutes later a brilliant move involving Caballero, Gavin Rae and Lovell saw the latter fire goalwards but again Main came to the visitors rescue.
With five minutes to go Speroni got down well to hold Gustavo Bahoken's 25-yard effort and the game finished goalless.
