Dundee Football Club were shocked to discover that Zura Khizanishvilli was included in the Georgian squad to face Russia on October 11th.

The central defender who has been out for the last 9 months after knee surgery has played in only one game, a closed doors friendly. Apart from that he has been building up towards full time training and Manager Jim Duffy still reckons he is two weeks away from being able to play league football. International football is surely further in the future.

So the legalities of this could be interesting. If Georgia only want him there in order to be part of the preparations and the team group then there's no problems. If they intend to play him do Dundee have the legal rights to say "no"? Surely the player himself wouldn't waste all the time spent in recuperation by risking all on a hasty comeback.
