ALL CANGE IN DUNDEE ATTACK.COWIE REVERTS TO LEFT BACK.
Dundee held a private trial at dens park last night to try to sort out their problems,The result appears tobe an almost complete reversion to the side that played quite alot last season.
The following will play against raith rovers at denspark on saturday.Brown,Reid,Cox,Henderson,Mckenzie,Cowie,Mcgeachie,Black,Cousin,O'hara,Christie
The Doug Cowie centre half plan is scrapped, back comes the Henderson/Mckenzie/Cowie middle line. Its all change for the five forwards who played at tynecastle last week, three of them jim chalmers/don watt and felix riley are out.George Mcgeachie switches from outside left to the right wing and Alan Cousin from inside right to centre.
Black made fifteen appearances at inside right last season and only scored twice.Back comes the old O'hara /Christie left wing.
Manager Willie Thornton said today several switches were made during last nights trial and saturdays team is the result.the reserve team for kircaldy is-Ferguson,Hamilton,Ferguson,Stewart,Tosh,Alexander,Chalmers,Reilly,Wallace,Sneddon or Gilzean,Robertson.
Dave Sneddon hurt his ankle last night and is a doubt.
Manager Bert Herdman of raith rovers, has a headache, but it is a pleasant one,Bert expects to be able to name a team tonight,he has no injury worries and the whole of kircaldy is still trying to guess what the line up will be,young jim kerray was not as sharp against third lanark as he had been in previous games and centre jacky williamson did not show up so well either.
so supporters are wondering if they will see benny kelly switched back to inside right in place of kerray and there is quite alot of controversy over which is his better posistion, williamson will be moved to inside left and ernie copland brought back to centre berth
