I was sitting have a quiet pre match pint in the cricket club at forthbank when the went, apparently the dfcss trust had just given the stirling trust their £250 back that they had given us when we entered admin.this was greatly accepted by the stirling lads as they have their own troubles at present, however when asked if stirling had collection buckets out in the dundee end their reply was NO,"we are quite happy that dundee will bring a large crowd through today, and we feel that it would be asking them to dig deep after travelling and paying into see the game"
Not very often that you see an attitude like that in todays game, putting fans first and for that they have to be credited.however i still saw donations being handed over to stirling employees by those of a darkblue persuation.
They also deserve credit for the very acceptable admittance prices yesterday, prices being £15 adults and £4 for juveniles .oap's and students. This in my opinion is the way forward for scottish football and these type of prices will bring people along to the game, compare that with our prices and you can see what im saying, yeaterday i was £19 for me and my son whereas at dens iwould have been looking at £29,i really think we must look at the pricing policys of the under16's.
However their catering was very poor and almost as bad as what we have to suffer at dens, this is definately another area that needs improvement.
All the best for the remainder of the season to stirling albion as their trust seem to appear to have the interests of the scottish football fan at heart.
A big well done.
