Stirling Albion are without suspended duo Jonathan Brown and Scott Robertson and injured goalkeeper Callum Reidford and defender Martyn Corrigan.Manager Jocky Scott is hoping to have a midfielder from a Scottish Premier League side on board by kick-off if a loan deal can be organised.
Neil McCann will again be in the Dundee squad for the trip to Stirling.
Veteran winger McCann was the match-winner last weekend and will again feature as a trialist.
Stirling Albion manager Jocky Scott: "We have done well recently but we need to start winning games and picking points up.
"It may well be Dundee that we are playing but it is three points that are available just like any other team and that is all I want us to achieve."
Dundee manager Barry Smith: "We are short on numbers again so Neil will be involved but I have no plans to bring anyone else in.
"I know that there is a great tie between Dundee and Jocky but all I am looking for is another three points and that is all that this game is about.
"We could pull further away from the relegation zone but there is still a long way to go."
