The board also discussed the moving of fixtures away from the traditional Saturday 3pm kick off, and expressed concern at this. While fixtures have had to be moved to accommodate clashes with our neighbours, and the wishes of television, and on occasion for business reasons, the Society board voiced concern at the change to an upcoming fixture away to Aberdeen. This decision impacts on Dundee supporters, who may now have to alter arrangements for this game.. On this occasion, the fixture change has also led to a clash with a Society Event planned for the rearranged date, specifically the Cabaret Night, which regretfully has now had to be postponed. The Society will now attempt to arrange a new date for this event, and inform our members as soon as possible of the outcome. The Society will also seek improved communication between itself and Dundee FC in an attempt to prevent a reoccurrence of this.
The Club and Society websites are in the process of being redesigned, with the possibility existing that they may become similar in appearance, with movement between the two simplified. It should however be pointed out that these websites will remain somewhat independent of each other.
The Penman Lounge has been booked for corporate hospitality for the upcoming fixture on the 27th against Kilmarnock, and will not be available for the usual pre match refreshments. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
The date for the next seniors meeting has been confirmed as Jan 31st, although Dave Forbes has yet to receive confirmation of guest speakers, which means a start time cannot be confirmed as yet, this information will be relayed to our members as soon as we have it
