Saturday saw the dark blue's head to forthbank stadium, outside the ground was absolutely buzzing with the huge travelling support. The big away stand was overflowing before the kick off with fans being taken out there and being put behind the terracing, just over 1500 made the trip to stirling from dundee.
Stirling had a couple of half chances in the first half with one being booted clear with big rab scurrying across his 6 yard box, dundee started to take control after ten minutes and slowley turned the screw, lockwwood then had a great run down the left flank and pinged in a beutiful cross that was met by sean higgins who dispatched the perfect header past the stirling keeper to put the large travelling dundee support into raptures.
The celebrations had just started to settle down when O'donnell had a great shot from the edge of the box that looked to be a goal all the way but it was not to be.
Back up at the other end big rab had an absolute brilliant save when he dived to his left and managed to some how turn the ball away,a brilliant save and was really nice to see this from behind big rabs goal.
Irvine was sent off mid way through the second half for a lunge tackle and that meant that the dee's had their backs to the wall for the remainder of the game, however harkins had a couple of chances but to no avail, once again the dark blues were at their dee-fiant best to bring another three points back home to dens, all in all a fine day at the office for the dundee and theirfans who were in fine voice throughout the game.
