Partick Thistle v Dundee FC

All roads headed to Maryhill on Saturday as Dundee tried to keep their good start to the season going.Backed by a healthy following Dundee playing in their home kit took to the field.

Much to my dismay Chis started with one up front, when it was clear to all those who had travelled west that Dundee should have fielded a more attack minded team, against a jags team that was very low on confidence after their bad start to the season.

The match started with Dundee attacking the goal their fans were behind,Dundee had the better of the exchanges in a dawdy first half without really troubling the Partick Thistle goalkeeper. Nil nil at half time was just about right.

The second half started much the same as the first, and then Partick Thistle started to grow in confidence, and it was no great surprise when they went ahead through a header that sneaked in at big Rabs left hand post. After the goal there was really no way that Dundee were going to get back into the game and without much threat up front ,a defeat was always the likely outcome, and indeed that was what eventually happened when the ref blew his whistle for time up.All in all a very bad day at the office for everyone connected with Dundee, and we really must start attacking teams more, and let them worry about scoring against us rather than the other way around.

Very few pass marks in a type of game that would get the great sport banned.
