No Hampden Appearance For Deewok

Dundee mascot Deewok will not appear on the Hampden pitch this Sunday afternoon. Apparently the cuddly bear was told there was no official invite from Hampden for mascots and so he will miss out on his biggest ever match.

Strange when one considers that at last season's Scottish Cup Final he, along with mascots from several teams, were invited to appear, even although Dundee were not involved.

So Deewok will hope and pray his team will win and who knows, perhaps the Hampden authorities will allow fun back into the pre-match entertainments and invite him then. I have it on good authority the mascot will be there cheering on his team from the stand, though without his fur coat.
