Dundee finally announced the signing of diminutive Spaniard Nacho Novo from Raith Rovers last night.

The fee of £100,000 comes as a surprise as it was widely announced last season that Nacho had written in his contract that if Raith were relegated he could go for free. Raith also have a clause that if he ever moves on from Dundee they stand to earn 15% of any transfer fee.

This signing announcement comes at a time when Dundee fans are in need of a boost. The top scorer in the First Division last season deserves a chance to show what he can do at a higher level and he will get just that with Dundee.
