here are the questions Keith, thanks very much for doing this!!

1)cant resist it.

how good did it feel to see fear in narey and hegarty's eyes, when you were
tearing them a new one? i saw it from the derry so mustv looked god damn good
close up

I loved playing against Dundee Utd and results got better as we got better and
they lost good players!! Always respected the good defenders they had like
Narey, Heggarty, Malpas

2)What were the strengths and weaknesses of your main strike partners at Dens?

Best finisher I played with was Tommy Coyne always moves ahead of defenders
thats why he scored so many goals. Probably if had been quicker would have got
move to a bigger club than Celtic?
Wee Doddsy was such a hard worker and his game improved in many ways to the top
striker he became at Rangers.

3)With hindsight, how do you view missing out on a move to England with West
Ham?
Looking back at my career now I am sure it all fell into place and the moves all
happened at the right time and place for me to enjoy my football. Every club I
played for as I was more or less a regular starter and I needed that as I loved
playing games and sitting in stands or on the bench would not have suited me.

4)Who was the best manager you played under at Dens?
Jocky Scott and Gordon Wallace were major influences on my career.
They both gave me a chance to play senior football and I learned so much from
them on the training pitch!!

..5).And the least best ;Dave Smith was what he called a office manager and
never appeared at training.
John Blackley was left to deal with 30 players at times on his own.

6)favourite Derby? the one you scored a hat trick in and won single handed or
the league cup quarter final at Dens.
If I must choose as I have good memories of both, it would be the cup game as
this was probably the best atmosphere I have ever played in any game in and to
score a late late winner was something I will never forget.

7)What was your favourite Dees goal? 8)What was your best Dee goal?
Favourite goal as above in cup game, my best goal probably no one else can
remember but I scored a over head kick versus Ayr Utd in 1st Division and was
something I never thought I was capable of??Haha

9)how long did it take to click with Tommy Coyne
We signed within a fortnight of each other and Jocky had us as strike partners
every day in training working as a pair, so I think within weeks we knew each
others strengths and just got confidence from scoring and setting up goals for
each other.

10)describe the feeling and the noise when you scored the winner in extra time?
Best atmosphere ever at Dens?

I have answered this earlier yes the fans just loved beating United that night,
they were up for it more than normal I cant explain why, but they talk about the
12th Man??

11)which Dundee United keeper did he like lunging into the most
It was part of my game at that time, I do not think Billy or Scott Thomson are
fans of mine to this day??

12)honestly-who was the cobra and who was the ****oose?oh for another strike
partnership like that one
TC and I still don't know. I think I was the ****oose only because TC says so??

13)Can you believe you weren't capped,
I got one cap playing for Hibs but to be fair their was some good strikers
playing at that time so happy to get a****st on one occasion.

14)who would you say were the most fervent supporters from the teams you played
for,and who were the most antagonising opposition fans?

I have been lucky and played for 2 clubs like Hibs and Dundee who are big clubs
with fans who look after the players who give 100% for the club and I was always
well looked after by both sets of fans and really appreciated that to this day.

Fans who did not like me and often told me so were Hearts and Dundee Utd fans??
I do not know why?? Haha

Say thanks to all Dark Blue fans and I am watching all results closely and hope
they are back where they belong next Season!!
