As expected, Javier Artero announced his retiral from football at a press conference held at Dens at 9.30 a.m. this morning. His battle against M.S. has been a hard one, and although he's fit and healthy he's not fit enough to sustain the peak fitness required to play professional football.

The good news is that "Harry" will remain a Dee and has been given the job of "International Scout" for the club. A tribute game will also be played later this season.
