Paul Hartley is happy with the start of the season with Dundee making it two draws from two games.
Hartley said: “It’s been a solid start to the season. We’re hard to beat, we have a good spirit and we try to play in the right manner.
“I thought the goalkeeper and the back four were excellent.
“I had to change the team early with Thommo going off and it upset us a wee bit.
“But I thought McAlister coming in gave us energy and McGowan was outstanding again.
“His workrate is terrific and he never stops running.”
One disappointment though was captain Kevin Thomson limping off after just 8 minutes.
“Thomson felt his calf over the last couple of days. To be fair, he wanted to play but he’s nicked it a little bit.
“We’ll need to wait and see how he is for Saturday’s game against Partick as he is a big player for me."
