The manager said “I can see the top-six thing going down to the last game or two,”
“I think it’s a good thing for the game.
“At the top end of the table you have Celtic, Aberdeen, Dundee United and Inverness.
“At the bottom end it is tough also, with Motherwell, St Mirren and Ross County fighting down there.
“So there are four teams near the top, there’s a middle group that includes us and then the group at the bottom of the table.
“So it is definitely like three leagues within a league.”
“I think it would be a really good achievement.
“We weren’t quite sure how things would pan out at the start of the season, considering the number of players we have brought in.
“There has been a massive turnaround and it won’t have to be the same again this summer.
“We have had to change things for the better of the club.
“So if we could get into the top six it would be great.
“The aim at the start of the season was to stay in the league but, as the campaign goes on, your ambitions change a little bit.
“Now we want a big push for the next eight games to try to get our way into the top six.”
