The Ormond Family Stand is open to all kids under 16 on Saturday, and according to the information I was given by the St Johnstone ticket office today, kids can go in there unaccompanied. So dad and mum, if they want can still go into the Dundee end and meet up with the bairns after the game. Or, of course, they can pay the adult fare, which I still have to get substantiated and go in with them. (I believe it might be as low as £10 for adults). The Family Stand is open to both St Johnstone and Dundee fans, but is renowned for it's friendly atmosphere.
Lee Wilkie might yet make it for the game, and the youngster who is shortly to turn 22, will be a big part player if he does as his form has been brilliant since returning 4 matches ago. 3 wins out of 4, and Lee has had a big, big say in this revival. His tough, no nonsense approach and his aerial ability has given the ball players more time to strut their stuff to the delight of the Tayzurri.
REMEMBER, IT'S A 12.00 KICK OFF, SO GET THERE EARLY, ESPECIALLY FOR THE FAMILY STAND WHICH IS SURE TO BE FULL TO THE RAFTERS. Don't watch it on TV unless you have to. Come and see F.C. Dundee in the flesh and shout them on to what could be a record of 4 wins out of 5 under Ivano's reign. This game will be followed by the Dundee derby, then two away games against Motherwell and Hibs. The team is building for the new season, and beginning to play like we know they can.
St Johnstone may yet be saved from relegation if only the other 10 clubs in the SPL stand up for themselves and toss the Old Firm out. If they do, I feel that's what the Old Firm really want to happen. Rupert Murdoch will ensure they remain alive and well in the English First Division.
