A dundee mad idea has taken off in the form of a supporters flag,which will fly between the south enclosure and the bobby cox stand.For £30 you will get your name on the flag,the flag will bear the club crest and be surrounded by the names of those who have contributed to the idea.Anyone can donate either by paypal at gbrymer05@aol.com,or in person at either of the two next home games,as we will have people collecting in every home section of dens park.I will also be in the penman lounge before the game collecting money.
At the time of writing the fund is standing at roughly £6,500 which is a great total considering i have only been collecting for one week.
Reading the telegraph tonight i was stunned to read tha Bobby Cox's daughter has donated some of her fathers treasure's,these include the match ball from that famous day at muirton park which is also signed by the entire squad,the other ball is the match ball from the home victory over milan,these items were currently in the hampden museum and are in the process of being recalled by the family.
I expect these items to be auctioned off worldwide and i can see a very high some of money being bidded for both items.It goes without saying that this is an exceptional offer from Bobby's family and i really think they will be amazed at the price these items of DFC history achieve at auction........absolutely fantastic.
