Sunday 13th May is fast approaching, and details for the Family Fun Day are now almost complete, so as promised, Dundee FC Supporters’ Society would like to give an update of what to expect on the day.

The Andy Penman lounge will be open all day, from 1.30pm till 7p,, with free admission.  Entertainment will be provided, with music from Jamboliah and Little Miss Z, the climax to the English football season, raffles and, of course, the bar will be open.  The lounges are open to anyone, and not just people at the fun day, so why not come along to the Penman for the game?

Outside the Bobby Cox Stand will be Hornes Pleasure Fair, with a few rides and a catering truck, they will be joined by the Army Cadets with a climbing wall, but obviously, all this is just a taste of what is to come.

Admission to the Family Fun Day will be via the Bobby Cox Stand, with two turnstiles open, one for families, where the ticket price of only £15 represents fantastic value for up to two adults and four kids, while the other turnstile will be for single tickets, with an adult price of £6, kids priced at £4.

Once inside the Bobby Cox Stand, visitors will be able to browse the numerous stalls inside the concourse.  A Programme Fayre hosted by Grant Anderson, Ken Craig and Keith Arnott will obviously selling programmes, with all the proceeds going to DFC and the Supporters' Society.  These guys have put a lot of time and effort into collecting these programmes, so take some time to have a browse through them, and grab yourself a bargain.

Scott Roberts will be holding a sale of DVD’s, CD’s and books, while Alison McQueen will be on hand representing Dee Promotions, and with the Dees Lottery undergoing a revamp, take the chance to talk to Alison about the changes, and it might be an idea to sign up for a lottery that finances the youth players at Dens as well!

Dundee FC’s disabled fans will also have a stand, providing information on membership, while the Society will have two stands, one selling books, Gold membership deals, and all the usual Society merchandise, while the other will be a tombola , with some fantastic prizes for kids on offer.

Maggie’s will be holding their own tombola, ably assisted by Susan Sturrock in her efforts to raise money for this fantastic charity.

Cordiners Cupcakes will also be in the Bobby Cox Stand. Cordiners are a local company who make novelty cupcakes, and will be bringing along a selection for sale, with money also going to the Society, so try out some delicious cupcakes, and help the cause at the same time.  Win/Win surely?

The Football Reminiscence programme will also be returning to Dens, with a scanner again for any fans who wish to allow the programme to scan any old football photographs they may have - please bring them along.  They will also be displaying a selection of photographs already received, so it may just be worth taking a stroll to the stall, and down memory lane at the same time.

Finally in the Bobby Cox concourse will be a stall manned by Boomerang, who will be providing loads of fun activities for kids, with badge making and nail painting among the attractions.

Once through this cornucopia of delights, you are ready to enter the world of the inflatables.  On the pitch will be nine inflatables, with something for everyone, and unlimited use of these inflatables is included in the admission price.  These inflatables are not just for kids, with plenty of attractions for the adults as well.  They will be joined on the pitch by Wave102, who will provide the soundtrack for the day via their road show.

A Harrier Cockpit, courtesy of the Air Training Corp is also expected to make an appearance, along with Deewok, some DC Thompson characters, and some new visitors to Dens, Duncan and Daisy.  Duncan and Daisy are part of the Dundee Coordinated Anticrime Network, and provide information to families on how to keep kids safe.  More information about Duncan and Daisy, who are sure to be a hit, are available at www.littleandlost.co.uk or www.childsafezones.co.uk.

The club shop will also be open for DFC merchandise; anyone looking to renew a season ticket can hand in the renewal slip in the back of the current season ticket book, although payment for the season ticket cannot be accepted on the day.  Accompany your renewal slip in an envelope with a cheque however, and the renewal will be processed first thing on Monday morning.

For anyone without a current season ticket, application forms will be available.  The new strip will also be available to pre-order in the club shop.

Finally, if all this exhausts you, and you are looking for some refreshment, the Andy Penman Lounge will remain open until 7pm, with the entertainment carrying on till closing time to allow thirsty parents and kids the chance to relax and remember what is certain to be a fantastic day of fun.

Now all you have to do is come along....see you there!!
