As part of its continual commitment to raise funds for Dundee Football Club, Dundee FC Supporters’ Society would like to announce details of an upcoming Family Fun Day at Dens Park Stadium on Sunday 13th May from 1.30pm until 5pm.
Ticket prices for the event have been kept to a minimum, as a way of thanking all Dundee fans for their continued support throughout the season, and at £6 for an adult and £4 for children, represents excellent value for money considering the attractions available. A family ticket will also be available, allowing entry on the day for a maximum of two adults with 4 children, this is priced at only £15.
Attractions are still being confirmed, and we would encourage fans to check back here on a regular basis for any attractions confirmed at a later date, but those confirmed up till now can be revealed.
First, the Society has arranged for a number of inflatables inside the stadium, and unlimited use of these inflatables is included in the admission price. These attractions are not just for children, although a bouncy castle and children’s assault course will be in operation.
In addition to these, a human table football game will be on the go, players will be strapped into the game, and just like table football will have movement restricted. Anyone can take part, and teams will obviously consist of whoever is next in the queue, although anyone wishing to enter a team can do so in advance, with a time to play issued.
Bar Fly is an inflatable Velcro game, where the object is to propel yourself as high up a Velcro wall as possible, and stick to the wall. The bungee run is as expected; participants are attached to a bungee cord, and try to run to a finishing line before the bungee recoils.
An adult assault course, Beat the Goalie, and Gladiator Duel, along with a children’s activity inflatable will also be on offer.
In addition to what's happening out on the pitch, stalls will be set up in the concourse of the Bobby Cox Stand, with a Programme Fayre going on alongside a stall selling books, CDs and DVDs. Face painting and badge making will also be available, as well as a stall manned by the Football Reminiscence Project for anyone with old pictures for scanning.
Back on the pitch, Deewok will be in his usual place entertaining fans, and will be accompanied by some special guests the children should be happy to see, while cheerleaders will also be performing.
Outside the stadium, Horne’s Pleasure Fairs will provide entertainment, while the lounges will be open for refreshments, as well as allowing anyone with an interest in the final day of the season ‘down south’ to keep an eye on proceedings.
Anyone wishing to book a team into the human football can email Grant Cook where a time will be saved for the team to play. If anyone wishes to set up a game, then both teams should be booked in at the same time.
Remember to check back regularly, as more attractions are expected to be announced as this fantastic family day out draws closer.
