Ross County striker Paul Di Giacomo returns following hernia surgery in November but Darren Smith is still out following his thumb operation.
Defenders Scott Boyd and Darren McCormack have been passed fit.
Dundee manager Barry Smith: "We have worked hard on keeping the players' fitness levels up during this cold period and now it is time to get back to winning games.
"We were ahead in that game and lost out, but there were signs against Stirling that things were really beginning to fall into place for us.
"If we get back to that level of performance in this game, I will be pleased."
Ross County manager Willie McStay: "Falkirk away is one the biggest games of the season and one I am really looking forward to it.
"A win would get us back into at least second place and that would be a great place to start in the new year.
"I'm hoping that the visit to Dundee is a good sign for me and that I can get a run of games in 2011 that will allow me to really get my teeth into my new job."
