The crowd was a wee bit dissapointing but dens came to life in the second half.It was a very scrappy first half and in all honesty morton should have went in at half time a couple of goals to the good, however it was Dundee who openened the scoring through a Matt Lockwood penalty kick,Morton equalised shortly after.
The second half started and it was imeadiately evident that the fans were in full voice, with three sid of the ground getting 100% behind their hero's.The all important winning goal came from McMenamin who had earlier came on as a sub.
The fans who were awarded the man of the match award were in fine voice for the whole of the second half, and it has been a long long time since this happened at a home match and long may it continue.
Harry McLean welcomed and thanked every player on arrival to the ground and was indeed seen shaking everyone of their hands at full time, this definately showed that everyone is in this together.
The players who came into hospitality at full time definately appeared to be up for the fight ahead and this has to be a very positive sign.I spoke to Pat Liney at full time and he has kindlly agreed to do a question and answer about his days at Dens park.
As i was standing outside Alan Moore the ton' boss came over before he boarded the morton team bus to say that he hoped everything would turn out well for Dundee,i think this was a very nice and sportsman thing for him to do as it certainly wasn't expected.
