Deewok Called Into Action!

The SPL's finest and most original mascot has been given his invite to appear at Hampden for Sunday's Semi-Final tie against Inverness. After the bitter disappointment at being told he wasn't invited to grace the National Stadium a letter arrived at his underground cave somewhere in the North today confirming his presence was required.

In an email to Dundee-Mad he couldn't contain his excitement.

"This is one excited mascot !! Yes, I have my invite and I will be busy tonite cleaning my furry bits for the big day on Sunday !!

"Full Highland rigmoral will be followed as I look forward to the biggest day we had for a while (and so that I can abuse a totally different mascot for a change!!).

"Look forward to seeing you lot there, here's to a Dee victory and me sinking quite a few honey jars on Sunday night !! UP THE DEE !! Big D

"PS Where's the buns?"

I suspect if Dundee win big Dee might just need something a bit stronger than honey.   Undiluted blackcurrant cordial, even.
