Dee Promotions undertake the task here at Dundee Football Club to raise much needed funds to support our Youth Development & Academy Programmes. For clubs like Dundee it is essential that young players are developed from an early age, from U-11's to youth and hopefully onto the first team.
However to manage these programmes it requires a great deal of financial support which Dee Promotions provide by running our Lottery, Match Day Half Time Draw and various dinners throughout the year. The work Alison McQueen does through Dee Promotions, including the weekly Dundee Lottery Draw and the recent Christmas Raffle, goes a long way to providing facilities for up and coming talent to come through the ranks at Dundee Football Club.
Fans only have to look at this year’s first team to see what their money goes on and how much of a difference it makes to the young boys who are a part of our Youth Development programme. We only have to look at this year’s first team squad to see stars such as Craig Wighton, Jamie Reid & Cammy Kerr as just three examples of talented players who have developed over their time spent coming through the Youth System at Dens Park. Youth is the lifeblood of Dundee, keeping the Dark Blue heart of Dundee Football Club pumping.
At half time during the recent Dundee Derby fixture, Alison presented the Youth Team with a cheque for £40,000 which had been raised through the lottery draw and race night. On top of this, Dee Promotions have also donated a cheque of £1000 to the Blake MacMillan Trust, a charity close to the hearts of so many at Dundee Football Club.
