It was something i couldnt resist so i paid my money and watched my name get entered into a black legder type book by the ownwer David Elder, sometimes you do something in life and you just know you are goingto remember it for the rest of your days, and that visiot to the vic bar was one such occasion.
It all appeared so easy to do but gpoing back in time it all seemed strange to me how the vic bar ever managed to arrange such a thing as it had bnever been done before.
Nowa days you can fiore up the computer and get latvian chestnuts delivered in 15 mins to your house.but where exactly did you go to charter a plane in dundee 50 years agpo? You could get a plain briodie or a plain half loaf and apparently you could also charter a plane if you knew how to go about it,
How many letters did they have to write, how many calls on the pub pay phone and how many tiomes diod they say it was all off?
After all these were still primative time with horses still plodding up vicky road and a guy was still going about lighting gas lamp posts in some streets but in the midst of all this medevil culture, david elder managed to take delivery of a shiney plane for 35 lucky dees on march the 6th 1963.
