Dundee's manager Gordon Chisolm and assistant Billy Dodds are prepared to take big wage cuts to safeguard the club's future as administration looms.Youth coach Barry Smith and full-back Matt Lockwood could replace the management team if the administrator decides to axe high earners.
However, Chisolm and Dodds will consider substantial wage reductions.
"The sole decision on job losses will come from the administrator," said Dundee chief executive Harry MacLean.
"The entire staff at the club has been in limbo these last few weeks. The players have been professional throughout and took to the field against Morton, won the game, and they have continued to train.
We've got the figures. We can see that there is a route through this
Dundee chief executive Harry MacLean
"Obviously a number of different scenarios, depending on what the administrator decides.
"He will sit down and see where we can save money and we will have to implement those changes.
"It won't be pretty, it's not a nice thing but, at the end of the day, it's going to be necessary for the long-term future of the club."
A meeting of the players due to take place on Wednesday has been postponed until Thursday as the uncertainty over their future continues.
Meanwhile, MacLean has admitted he does not know if the £200,000 due to be deposited by investor Calum Melville to help with the administration process has been lodged with the club solicitors.
"I expect it will arrive imminently I don't know if it's there yet, that is a matter for the solicitors and the potential administrators," he said.
"I'm 100% certain that the club will be here in one shape or another forever.
"I would hate to think of a day when Dundee Football Club didn't exist.
"None of us are thinking like that and we will all be working hard to make sure that doesn't happen.
"We've got the figures. We can see that there is a route through this.
"We've had outstanding support from the fans and business community. With the numbers of people willing to help, we expect to come through it."
Dundee's stadium, Dens Park, is owned by former Dundee United director John Bennett, who leases it to the Dark Blues but the terms of that agreement will change when administration takes effect.
"There is the lease and there is John's own personal attitude to the whole thing," added MacLean.
"John Bennett has been a fantastic supporter of Dundee, helping us at different periods of our history. He's been a great supporter of sport in the city, in general.
"At the moment, I think the ground is the least of our concerns."
