An email from a fan brought to my attention that Mark Guido in a Sunday paper today (not sure which one) claimed that Celtic had shown an interest in young goalkeeper Julian Speroni.
Searching far and wide for a goalkeeper to back up Rab Douglas it would seem that the only saving grace for Dundee is that the Celts are looking for an experienced keeper to push Rab for his place and ready to step into the Champions League if need be.
On these grounds alone it seems to me it's a season too soon for Julian to reach such heights. Also, he wants first team football and wouldn't relish becoming second fiddle to anyone right now.
But perhaps he's holding off just in case. The news that a Series B team in Italy are also chasing his signature is perhaps his strongest reason for delaying his signing for Dundee.
