Jim Duffy's recent comments about the fans at the derby have got the fans going a little and some debate has arisen over whether he was right or wrong.
Is it possible his comments were spot on but he's made a huge mistake in coming out with them just after the Dees struggled to beat the worst team in the league even though they played for over half an hour with only 9 men?
Yes the Dundee fans were critical but when you have a team of SPL level footballers that couldn't string more than two passes together in acres of space you should really expect criticism, especially when they had all the time they wanted to pick a pass to a teammate.
Jim should also remember how deep some of those fans were digging into their pockets to ensure those same overpaid players had a job this year before spouting off.
Bottom line is that they were absolutely shocking against Utd and deserved any criticism coming their way. Its his job to get them playing better and to give the fans something to cheer about. 3 wins in 13 SPL games, 2 against the worst team in the league, is not acceptable and the level of performance needs to improve.
