Under-21's Beat Partick 4-0

Dundee's youngsters ran out very comfortable 4-0 winners against Partick in a closed doors friendly at Michelin, 12.00 noon kick off today.

1st team players who took part were Artero and Barry Forbes. Sadly, Harry had to go off in the 1st half with an ice pack on his groin area so looks as though his injury may still be troubling him. Still he showed up well in the 1st 45 minutes.

The man to stand out most was Barry Forbes, he tormented the Partick defence for about 70mins, then Duffy (who come down for 2nd half) replaced him - dont be surprised to see him in the squad for satuarday.

Duncan Mclean opened the scoring after a defensive blunder, then Chris Brash rose at the back post to head number 2 after a great corner by Doug Cameron. Colin Boylan made it 3 in the 2nd half after a fine solo effort, then Barry Forbes rounded off a great personal peformance with a looping header over the Thistle keeper to make it 4.

Dundee surprisingly brought on Robbie Raeside (physio) for the last 20mins. The rumour is Peterhead are wanting him.

Overall a very tidy perfomance from the young dark blues, who controlled the game and never looked in danger of getting beat, One thing I noticed was how confident they all were on the ball. The future looks in good hands.

Intrested spectators were Beto and Mark Robertson. Also, running the Thistle team were Gerry Britton and Jamie Dolan. An ex-Dee played the 1st half for Partick, his name Kevin Mcghee (remember him?!)

Hope this is of use to you. Cheers, Dave, keep up the good work.
